The Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education prepares learners to progress to the Level 3 Certificate in Childcare and Education and then on to the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator). It provides learners with knowledge of children from birth to 7 years.
The qualification does not require a placement.
This award in Childcare and Education course is broken into 5 4-week blocks, as follows. Blocks are independent from one another, and your starting "block" will vary depending upon when you enrol with the college.

Block 2: Promoting Child Development through Learning and Play
Block 3: Supporting Children's Emotional Well-being
Block 4: Physical Care Needs and the Early Years Environment

Upon achievement of this qualification, you will be able to progress onto the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator), allowing for 15% of that course's progression having already been achieved.
