Become an accredited and qualified Baby Massage Instructor and lead Baby Massage groups within your own community.
As a part of the Baby Massage Instructor Programme, you will undertake two qualifications:
CACHE Level 2 Award in Baby Massage
CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Baby Massage Instruction
Within the CACHE Level 2 Award in Baby Massage, you will gain an understanding of baby massage as a benefit to the baby and the carer, including physical benefits such as help with colic and sleep, and the emotional benefit to support bonding. Learners will demonstrate the practical skills to perform baby massage safely. You will learn the correct equipment required, such as oils and mats, and the environmental needs to carry out baby massage effectively. Additionally, this course offers a pre-requisite to our Level 3 Certificate for Baby Massage Instructors.
In the Level 2 course, you will:
Understand the benefits of baby massage for infants and caregivers
Understand appropriate techniques and practice for baby massage
Understand safety considerations for baby massage sessions
Be able to perform baby massage techniques
Be able to work safely when performing baby massage
You will compile a portfolio of evidence, which will include both knowledge and practical tasks to demonstrate your understanding and competency in performing safe baby massage procedures on an infant.
After successfully completing your Level 2 Award, you will then move on to the Level 3 Cerificate.
Within the level 3 course, you will learn about:
Principles of Adult Learning and Group Instruction in Baby Massage
Planning and Preparing Baby Massage Group Instruction
Group Instruction Techniques
Baby Massage Instruction
Special Considerations in Baby Massage
You will gather evidence of your ability to deliver learning to adults in groups, who will follow your expertise in Baby Massage to practice safe baby massage on their own babies. You will plan, deliver, and reflect on a group baby massage class as a part of the programme.
After completing the programme and gaining your certificate, you will be able to gain insurance to practice as a Baby Massage Group Instructor.

NCFE is an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualifications Wales) and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation). This is an unregulated qualification and is not a nationally recognised qualification. This qualification has been accredited as a Customised Qualification and we have benchmarked the qualification’s learning outcomes and assessment criteria at Level (using a national framework’s level descriptors) to allow you to demonstrate the difficulty and depth of study. On completion of the Customised Qualification, learners will receive a certificate of achievement. The certificate is evidence of the knowledge and skills gained by completing the qualification. This qualification has been accredited by NCFE under the Customised Qualification and the certificate of achievement will be issued directly by NCFE.
