Level 2 Award in Baby Massage Techniques - CACHE Accredited
This qualification is designed for both parents/carers in addition to childcare practitioners who work with babies. You will gain an understanding of baby massage as a benefit to the baby and to you, including physical benefits such as help with colic and sleep, and the emotional benefit to support bonding. During the course, you will demonstrate the practical skills to perform baby massage safely. Additionally, you will learn the correct equipment required, such as oils and mats, and the environmental needs to carry out baby massage effectively. Additionally, this course offers a pre-requisite to our Level 3 Certificate for Baby Massage Instructors.

At NCCE we use dolls and mats available from The Baby Massage Shop, but you can use alternative resources as detailed above.
You will be required to submit both photographic and short video clips as a part of your evidence. We recommend using a mobile phone and you could use a stand to support the phone while filming, or a friend or family member can assist you.

Undertaking this qualification will allow you to be proficient in a broad range of baby massage strokes, moves, and tecnhiques. You will be able to prepare the environment for safe and secure baby massage, accessing and using the correct equipment in a safe manner.
This qualification have been through robust checks and reviews with NCFE CACHE by both their Childcare Team and their Healthcare Team, deeming a safe and suitable course for learning and then performing baby massage techniques.

NCFE is an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualifications Wales) and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation). This is an unregulated qualification and is not a nationally recognised qualification. This qualification has been accredited as a Customised Qualification and we have benchmarked the qualification’s learning outcomes and assessment criteria at Level (using a national framework’s level descriptors) to allow you to demonstrate the difficulty and depth of study. On completion of the Customised Qualification, learners will receive a certificate of achievement. The certificate is evidence of the knowledge and skills gained by completing the qualification. This qualification has been accredited by NCFE under the Customised Qualification and the certificate of achievement will be issued directly by NCFE.
