This qualification provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the philosophical, practical, and pedagogical principles of Steiner Waldorf education. This course is designed for educators and professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge and skills in Steiner education and apply these principles to their work with young children, from birth to 6 years old.

- Understand the historical, philosophical, and cultural foundations of Steiner/Waldorf education.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the child's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development within the context of Steiner's view of human development.
- Implement Steiner's educational principles in daily routines, curriculum planning, and child assessment.
- Create supportive, nurturing, and engaging learning environments based on Steiner's principles of child-centered, nature-based, and imaginative play.
- Demonstrate effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills within a Steiner early childhood setting.
- Reflect on their professional practice and engage in ongoing professional development.

You will need to be actively working- employed of voluntary- in an Early Years setting to undertake this course and qualification.

Assessments will be based on a combination of written assignments, reflective journals, practical demonstrations, and project presentations. Students must also submit a portfolio of their work, including examples of documentation and learning experiences from their practice.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded the Level 3 Diploma in the Steiner Approach in Early Years Education, accredited and awarded by CACHE.

This accredited qualification is appropriate for those individuals already holding an appropriate Level 3 qualification and will give learners the opportunity to explore some of the underlying pedagogical influence of the Steiner Waldorf approach. By finding out more about the Steiner Waldorf approach learners will be able to reflect on their current practice, recognising the benefits of some of the features of the Steiner approach for work within the early years.
This qualification is set at Level 3 in relation to the complexity of new learning and the use of a Diploma reflects the size of the qualification. Use of Level 3 Diploma is therefore in line with NCFE Accreditation Services guidelines and this is not to be confused with recognised nationally regulated qualifications that are also set at Level 3. NCFE CACHE Customised qualifications do not attract credits and are not recognised as national qualifications because they have not been approved by a Sector Skills Council nor accredited by Ofqual.

This is an exciting course that allows learners to develop new knowledge and skills in a specialist pedagogical area, learning the philosophy and principles of the Steiner approach and how this can be applied within the learner's own setting and practice. Through a variety of modules, you will have the opportunity to produce a Steiner-inspired curriculum for an area of your setting, develop your setting's environment based upon Steiner's principles, and advocate for a Steiner approach for your setting, becoming a true subject specialist in your area.
