The Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care course is undertaken over a period of 54 weeks and the course is structured across 9 six-week blocks.
Block 1: Causes and spread of infection and Responsibilities of a care worker.
Block 2: Support individuals with specific communication needs and Promote communication in care settings.
Block 3: Provide support for sleep and Promote effective handling of information in care settings.
Block 4: Support individuals to meet personal care needs and Promote personal development in care settings.
Block 5: Support independence in the tasks of daily living and Promote person-centred approaches in care settings.
Block 6: Support individuals to access and use services and facilities and Promote equality and inclusion in care settings.
Block 7: Move and position individuals in accordance with their care plan and Promote health, safety and well-being in care settings.
Block 8: Understand personalisation in adult care and Duty of care in care settings.
Block 9: Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Safeguarding and protection in care settings.
Practical Assessment: You will complete a range of tasks in your placement, and build a portfolio of your practice. a professional discussion and any additional evidence requirements.
