🌈 Our new Montessori Academy! An adventure beginning for 2022! 🌈
Building upon our positive reputation in Early Years teaching and training, developing professional practitioners across the setting, NCCE have been working hard behind the scenes in 2021 to launch The Montessori Academy in 2022.
NCCE are delighted to be offering the CACHE Diplomas at level 3 and 4 in Montessori Pedagogy, which not only qualify successful participants as a Montessori Practitioner, but also offer Early Years Educator Status- the 🌟 dual professional qualification 🌟 to ensure you will have a successful career as a Montessori Practitioner in the Early Years.
Alongside the qualifying diplomas, participants have the opportunity to undertake face to face training workshops and online short courses to aid your own development. Face to face workshops will be hosted in Sheffield, Birmingham and Central London, with dates released throughout the year, adhering to Covid-19 guidelines.
Our mission within the Montessori Academy is to bring the philosophy of Montessori to all practitioners, through outstanding blended training within our CACHE grade 1 centre, making use of innovative e-learning opportunities, online live taught sessions and face to face workshops and practical assessments within your own setting.
Throughout 2022, exciting developments will come to The Montessori Academy and we look forward to sharing our journey with you!
For the RQF Level 3 and Level 4 Montessori Early Years Educator, you will be immersed into this exciting learning journey through a range of opportunities, including:
🌈6 blocks of knowledge-based e-learning, including online taught sessions with your NCCE Tutor

Take a look at the exciting courses, below, including more detailed syllabus' of our Level 3 and 4 Diploma qualifications.
🌟 Choosing the right Early Years Educator qualification 🌟
With so many options out there, there are lots of considerations to take when selecting your course. These considerations range from those all important questions of financing, as well as making sure the course is the full qualification that you need to work in the setting.
🌈Check that the course gives you the full qualification. There are many courses available through lots of route ways, including online, blended, distance learning, colleges and more.
🌟Double check that your course is an Early Years Educator qualification and request the QRN number if necessary. There are a range available from different awarding organisations, including NCFE CACHE, Pearson, and TQUK.
🌟CPD short courses in childcare are widely available. CPD courses can provide great opportunities for you to update your knowledge or give you an introduction to early years and childcare. These, however, will not qualify you to work in early years.
🌟Ensure that it is mandatory that you are required to undertake a placement of at least 350 hours in a setting with children up to the age of five years old. You will also need to be observed by an assessor from your chosen college or provider; this is not the role of your placement mentor.
🌈 Financing your course: There are many options available.
🌟Self-funding is a great way for you to have control over your studies. When self-funding, check that the provider of your course includes everything in your agreed price- including observations. You should not be charged extra for a tutor to come out and assess you. Be wary of the small print. Make sure you find a provider that does not charge extension fees, as these are not required by the awarding body, and check that their charges don't accumulate interest, making your course more expensive than you first though.
🌟Some providers offer Advanced Learner Loans, offering the opportunity for the Student Finance companies to pay your fees in advance. You wll pay back at a later date, when you reach a certain earning threshold. When you take out the loan, interest will start to be incurred for when you start to pay back the loan.
🌟Apprenticeships are available for those who are employed as an apprentice. Your employer will make a contribution to the fees, and this will then be topped-up with government funding, who will pay the majority of the cost on your behalf.
🌈 Make sure that you will be assessed fully and correctly. The EYE course is a large qualification, heavy on both theory and practice.
🌟You MUST be observed in practice by a qualified assessor from your chosen college. Ensure that your chosen college is not adding additional fees for this to take place, as it is mandatory for the course to be signed off.
🌟 Witness statements or testimonies are an appropriate assessment method, but should NOT replace or be used instead of an observation. You must ensure that you have the opportunity to be observed by a qualified assessor from your chosen college- it is not the role of your mentor in placement, even if they are kind enough to offer.
🌟Opportunities for you to put your knowledge into practice should be evidenced through assignments, professional discussions, planning of activities to complete with children, and observations of your practice.
NCCE National College for Care and Education offer the full Early Years Educator Level 3 Diploma, fully inclusive of all fees, allowing you to be fully qualified to practice in the Early Years sector. One question we get asked a lot is- what happens when they reach a year on programme. Do they have to pay to extend?
Let's put that idea to bed right now...
At NCCE We don’t offer extensions on your course.
Yep, you heard that correctly. NCCE don’t offer extensions.
That’s because you do not need to complete your course within a set time.
While we offer guidance in terms of time frames to support students who wish to set themselves a schedule, there are no penalties if these cannot be met.
On occasion, our awarding bodies expire a course and replace with an updated version. In these cases, you will be contacted by us to ask if you would like to complete the original qualification within a externally-required timeframe (between 6-9 months), or if you would like to register on the new version of the qualification. This second option may incur a small registration fee, which goes straight to the awarding body.
If a training provider is adding extension fees, this is a part of their business model and is not a requirement of the awarding organisation that they are using.
We are not an organisation who will continually take money from our students. No matter how long you take, you are doing the same course, and using the same resources, so why should you pay more just because you need a little longer than someone else might need?
Other things to think about when choosing your training provider:
When searching for your provider, these are the minimum considerations that you should have before you give away your hard-earned money. At NCCE we are extremely transparent about our fees. If you do have any further questions- do get in touch. We are happy to support by email or call at a time that suites you.
Today we celebrate our learners and our tutors. After an amazing NCFE Audit, grading the top Grade 1 in all areas, here are some of the things that NCFE CACHE had to say about NCCE:
About our students: "Learner written work is to an excellent standard and beautifully presented demonstrating learners’ excellent IT skills"
About our tutors: "Assessor feedback is detailed and individualised, annotations identify what the learner has achieved well and give guidance to support any resubmission or to provide stretch and challenge"
About NCCE: "It is clear from sampling undertaken today the centre continue to deliver and assess the qualifications to a high standard"
A huge thank you to our AMAZING students and WONDERFUL education team for their hard work and dedicated support. NCCE would not be as incredible and successful as it is, in its educational provision, without you
"Don't follow me, follow the child," Maria Montessori.
